NI 15 - CAR INSURANCE COSTS ARE INCREASING AGAIN!

Confused.com / Towers Watson report: Car insurance premiums have seen their first consecutive quarterly rises since 2011. Drivers in 96 out of 121 postal towns experienced an increase in their insurance premium in the previous three months. London experienced the biggest increase with Manchester and Merseyside reporting the most expensive insurance outside of the capital.

The first report of 2015 shows the average quote now sits at £594. A further quarterly increase if it happens will see the average premium over £600!

Men and women have seen in the last quarter rises of £13 and £11 respectively. Those aged 17 have seen an increase of £73 taking their policy average to an eye watering £1,983. Older drivers aged 61 have had the greatest percentage increase of any age group with premium increase of 4.7% taking their average to £342.

Be prepared for further increases throughout 2015 is the word of warning.
